Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Grand Cherokee gets a factory-installed DVD navigation system integrated into the radio. Columbia, Freedom and Special Edition trims are also new for 2004. All of these models incorporate subtle cosmetic touches and equipment upgrades. Additionally, each Columbia Edition Jeep comes with a complimentary Columbia parka.
- Powerful 4.7-liter V8, all-terrain capability, roomy comfort for four.
- Noisy and unrefined, questionable reliability, trucklike on-road handling.

2004 grand cherokee ltd V8 HO - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By nz - August 22 - 3:26 amI purchased my vehicle at 30,000 miles as a one owner lease return. Ive absolutely loved this vehicle, the interior is very comfortable, the engine has tremendous power (which I love) and its been the picture of reliability. I have several colleagues who all have jeeps during this bodystyle and most if not all of them have had only limited even standard maintenance. Several have over 130k with no new engines, transmissions, nothing beyond routine maintenance. The four wheel drive (mine is always on) feels amazing, and during cold weather I pity the other White-knuckled drivers on the road.

Great Truck - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By THH963 - August 12 - 12:13 amPurchased my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee used w/approx 47,000 miles on it & traded it in 3 1/2 later with approx 84,000 miles on it. I put new Firestone Destination tires on it & got it aligned right after purchase. Got new rear brakes @ approx 70,000 miles & replaced front & rear shocks @ 74,500 miles. Aside above I have only done regular service checks. The truck has been great & reliable (drove it from NY to CA) experience. It is much more comfortable than Id ever expected, even after 14 hours of driving. By now, anyone buying a V8 Jeep should know about its 15 mpg gas mileage, quit complaining thats not why you buy a Jeep & same with the brakes. Not the best, but they stop you.

Long Term Jeep - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By GMC-2-JEEP - July 28 - 2:00 amI was a "dyed in the wool" GMC owner (1999 GMC Yukon SLT-4WD)until I went shopping.... The Jeep was almost as comfortable (albeit smaller), had more bells and whistles for the $$$, and the price was hard to beat. I have yet to take it on a long trip and the climate hasnt changed in order to test the A/C so "the jury is still out" but if first impressions are important, this JGC-Limited has definitely made a positive one. My wife has a 2000 JGC-Laredo and loves the body style as well as the way it "zips" around so well see if I feel the same after four years of ownership.

Great - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Ramos - June 28 - 10:00 amI am an Office products technician by trade, I travel alot of miles between service calls, it holds my inventory with room to spare, so far in the last 2300 miles (its new), I have aved 18.5 miles per gallon. The ride is very smooth, great response, enough power to get out of the way and with the cruise control on, its a nice quiet ride. Sound sys, which is not the best they offer..is outstanding. Dont just sit there, go get yours.

extremely pleased - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By regor - June 28 - 10:00 amWent from Dodge Durango to Jeep Overland. Well satisfied with interior design and comfort, as well as quality of vehicle inside and out. Short legs so pleased with adjustable pedals, as well as memory adjustments and GPS. Performs better than my 5.9L Dodge. Ride is more like car than truck.
